The skeleton sold out long before October in 2020 and was comparably tough to get in 2021. If you’ve yet to get your hands on this viral decoration (and have the space to set up and store it), this might be your year—but only if you act quickly. You can order the skeleton (as well as the rest of The Home Depot’s Halloween decorations collection) online starting July 15. Wait too long, and you may have to wait until 2023 to finally bring your very own skeletal giant home. The 12-foot Home Depot skeleton first went viral in October 2020, and unlike many social media trends, its popularity didn’t plummet the following year. If anything, Skelly—as the skeleton is affectionately called by The Home Depot’s holiday team—is only burrowing deeper into our hearts. This oversized figure will retail for $299 (the same price as 2020 and 2021) and is almost identical to the versions released in 2020 and 2021. The only difference between 2020’s skeleton and the one available in 2021 and 2022 is the addition of a power cord, so you can plug in the figure and watch its eyes light up. Add it to your Halloween front porch display, or pose it in your yard for the whole neighborhood to see. Given how fast the festive figure sold out last year, we anticipate it’ll go even more quickly this year—so if you want one, don’t wait to add it to your cart. If you’re not able to score one before they’re gone, The Home Depot has a whole collection of oversized spooky figures to choose from, including a 9 1/2-foot werewolf, a 5-foot posable skeleton with light-up eyes, and even a 12-Foot Infernal Pumpkin Skeleton (pictured above), which is comparable to our beloved Skelly—except for its pumpkin head. This launch is online-only: The fall assortment will arrive in stores starting between late August and early September, according to a Tweet from The Home Depot. All festive items are while supplies last, so shop early if you want to do the most this Halloween season.
