Lois earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa in food science and home economics journalism in 1981, which launched her career in food publications. Since then, she has had an illustrious career as a food editor, which involves developing and testing recipes, writing food articles, managing test kitchens, and supervising an editing process. Her first job was to write about food for several companies, including Nabisco, Tupperware, and Hellman’s.
