Step-by-Step Directions

Toothpicks inserted into eggs and flowers give you a handle when painting before attaching to the wreath. Customize the Easter wreath with your favorite colors and flowers.

Step 1: Attach Picks

Drill a small hole on one long side of each egg. Break the tip off the toothpick to create a blunt end. Dip pick in wood glue and insert into the drilled hole; let dry. Dip a pick in wood glue and push it into the back of each flower.

Step 2: Paint

Create a color wash by mixing two parts of craft paint with one part of water. Apply color wash to flowers and eggs as desired; let dry.

Step 3: Assemble

Lay the wreath form on a work surface, spread excelsior on top, and secure with hot glue. Arrange eggs and flowers on the wreath as desired, pushing the picks into the wreath to hold each in place. Once the placement is final, secure eggs and flowers with hot glue.
